FAMILY MUSIC FOR BABIES (On-going, once a week) 

Bond with your baby through bouncing and rocking, wiggle and peek-a-boo games, dancing, and moving-all set to music. Music play activities are designed to increase your child’s curiosity about music, develop listening skills and a sense of beat, ad establish the foundation for singing and musical thought.

 Family Music for Babies can enhance many aspects of your child’s early development:

-echoing vocal patterns, which is the basis for shaping language

-Delighting in repetition, a key way babies and children learn

-Recognizing emotional cues through expression, tone and tempo

-Bonding deeply with caregivers through shared movement and song

-Learning to transition from movement to stillness, excitement to calm

-Learning patience and turn-taking

-Becoming aware of rhythm and grace 

BABY BOOK CLUB. (On-going, once a week)

-Join with us for story time, especially designed for babies to experience sounds, rhythm, touch and introduce them to the magical world of books!  We select the stories from local authors and have them join us whenever possible!

 15 months to 3 years (Adult participation required)

FAMILY MUSIC FOR TODDLERS (On-going, once a week)

Join your toddler in singing, chanting, moving, dancing, listening, playing simple instruments, while developing a strong musical bond with your child.   Through activities that bridge the natural connection between music and movement, your child’s musical aptitude and listening abilities are further developed.

Family Music for Toddlers can enhance many aspects of your child’s development:

-Impulse control and body awareness which enables them to sit still, be calm, listen and move gracefully.

-Learning to share and take turns

-Self-expression, asking questions, and speaking up in front of others

-Practicing fine motor skills

-Discovering a love of music!

TODDLER BOOK CLUB (On-going, once a week)

-Join with us for story time, especially designed for toddlers to experience sounds, rhythm, touch and enjoyment in the magical world of books!  We select the stories from local authors and have them join us whenever possible!

TODDLER ART CLUB (On-going, once a week)

-Join with us to create wonderful art projects with local artists who customize projects for your child!

DRUMMING AND DANCING (On-going, once a week)

-A SUPER FUN rhythm and dance class for you and your Toddler!

Age 3-5 Years (Adult participation required)

CYCLE OF SEASONS (On-going, once a week)

Celebrate your child’s love of nature and growing independent through musical activities focused on the seasons. Classes are designed to build attention and self expression and include singing, chanting, moving, listening, musical games, exploring musical instruments, creative movement and storytelling.

Cycle of Seasons may enhance many aspects of your child’s development:

-Learning to control impulses, listen and follow directions

-Sharing and taking turns

-Using their imagination

-Experiencing the joy of group music making

-Spatial awareness and balance

-Developing the dual role of the ear: listening and controlling movement

-Building self-esteem and confidence

GODS CHILDREN SING (8 weeks, once a week)

Part of the Musikgarten Curricula, the collection of musical activities is an opportunity for you, your child and family to share your faith in a joyous celebration through music. Singing praises to God, rocking with a prayerful lullaby, dancing to a spiritual song and story telling are all part of this wonderful class.

AGE 4-6 (Adult Participation required to age 6)

MUSIC MAKERS: LET’S MAKE MUSIC TOGETHER! (On-going, once a week)

Building on past experiences, four-and five-year olds are now ready for a more structured musical learning experience. Welcome to Music Makers!  This sequential two-year music program includes singing, instrument paying and ensemble work, ear training and guided listening, as well as a developmentally sound approach to music literacy that stimulates symbolic thinking, concentration, memory and self expression.

In Music Makers, your child will begin to learn to read music and make the connections between what they hear, see and play.  Moreover, research shows that a solid music foundation can enhance academic success in other areas including math and language.

PART 1:  Music Makers: At Home in the World (age 4+)

Part 1 features music and sounds from the natural world, as well as instrumental sounds.  This course focuses on training the ear, coordination of the body and voice, an introduction to instrumental ensembles, and symbolic thinking-the first step in reading music.

PART 2:  Music Makers:  Around the World (age 5+)

Part 2 introduces your child to music from the British Isles, Germany, Native American cultures and African-American heritage.  This course continues to focus on music literacy, instrument playing, structured movement, and dance, while creating an awareness and appreciation of our multicultural world

BILLY BALDWIN BOOK CLUB 4-6 year olds. (On-going, once a week)

This book club for your 4-6 year old features books from our beloved local authors such as Billy Baldwin and Susan Verde.  Students will not only participate in story time but share in story building and telling stories themselves.  A wonderful creative class to build on your child’s love of literature.

In these book clubs we explore and discuss age appropriate books from local authors who visit us when their schedules permit!

SCIENCE PROJECT AGES 6-8, 9-11. (On-going, once a week)

We love science and in this class do fun and challenging age appropriate science S.T.E.M and S.T.E.A.M. projects!

GROUP GUITAR for Beginners 6-8, 9-11 (On-going, once a week)

This class is for beginner guitarists learning the guitar.   Your child will learn proper guitar technique and fundamental in a supportive group environment.  A fun and customized class for 6-8, and 9-11 year olds

MUSIC NOTES 6-8. 9-11 (8 weeks, once a week) 

This class teaches music theory in a fun and exciting way!  Children will learn how to read and write music notes, compose their own songs and have fun while doing it!  A great supplement class to Music Makers

GROUP SINGING, 6-8, 9-11 (Ongoing, once a week)

A class alternative to private voice lessons.  Learn proper singing techniques and have fun with your friends!  Each student will get a chance to work with our high level vocal coaches to improve the quality of their voice with proper vocal techniques, breath control, and control their tone, pitch and volume. Each child will have the opportunity to prepare songs they love for solo performances as well as group performances.

BOOKS THAT COOK, 6-8, 9-11. (8 weeks, once a week)

In this special Book Club, we prepare simple dishes that we pull from stories we read in our Book Club books. Student will learn to prepare simple snacks and light meals from stories they read together.

ART CLUB age 6-8, 9-11 (ongoing, once a week)

ASL 6-11. (8 weeks, once a week)

Join us to learn beginner  American Sign Language!  We incorporate fun musical games and activities to make your child’s ASL learning experience highly interactive.

DRUMMING AND DANCING age 6-11. (On-going, once a week)

GROW YOUR FOOD 6-11 (4 weeks, once a week)

Did you know you can grow a lot of food very simply and easily?  This class shows students how to germinate regular vegetables right from their own kitchen.

HOMEWORK HELPERS (during the school year, once a week)

Do you have a homework assignment you need help with?  Bring it to our homework group and your peer tutors will help you!

Age 12-18

GROUP PIANO-ENJOYING THE PIANO TOGETHER (on-going, once a week)

This beginner piano class is for the older beginner.  This class incorporates notes, rhythm, piano keys and music theory all designed to have the student develop complete music literacy including piano playing, composition and transposition.

ROMAN HISTORY (4 weeks, once a week)

Join Professor Bryan Farrell as he presents and discusses Roman History with the class in an interactive way.

PERSONAL FINANCE CLUB (4 weeks, once a week)

Join Professor Jeremy Schneider as he teaches investing and saving.  Jeremy retired at age 34 using the methods he teaches.
